Minarets Tour

Minarets are high slender structures that have been used for thousands of years.

• Before Islam, they were used as watchtowers or as a guide. Whenever Passengers or caravans saw a minaret, they got to know that they were getting close to the city. At nights people made fire on them to make them visible for everyone.
• After Islam they were used both for guidance and prayer sound. A person who was responsible for inviting Muslims to prayer used it to climb the stairs and do his job.

• Many minarets have been destroyed, but some of them still stand strong. Sareban, Chehel Dokhtaran, bokht Agha and Ali minarets are among them.
